Biography
Ljerka Pavković works as the assistant director of nursing and head nurse at the Special Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation Lipik. In 2007 she graduated nursing management at the University of Health Applied Sciences in Zagreb. Throughout her carrier she received additional education in the field of palliative care at CEPAMET at the University of Zagreb and Zagreb's Institute for the Culture of Health. Driven to help people, she initiated and cofounded Palliative Team LiPa and encourages youth participation in volunteerism. She is actively involved in the strategy for the development of palliative care in the Republic of Croatia and comprehensive care for Croatian veterans respectively. Due to her experience of nursing on the battlefield, she promotes training of nurses in correspondence to crisis, and was consequently named president at the Association of Nurses of the Homeland War of the Croatian Nurses Association (HUMS).
Research Interest
My research focuses on the model of palliative care, nurses in the Croatian Homeland War and organization of nurses in health care institutions. The role of health care professionals in the Homeland War, nurses especially, is of utmost importance.
Biography
Simone Cheli is professor of General Pedagogy and Clinical Psychology at the Nursing School of the University of Florence, and chief of research at the Psycho-oncology Unit of the Central Tuscany Healthcare District, Italy. He has published more than 20 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and is currently editor of the International Psycho-Oncology Society Newsletter (IQ-News).
Research Interest
His primary research interests are in the subjective definition of quality of life and compliance in cancer care, and in the development of effective nursing tools for assessing such issues.

Biography
Maria has worked as a nurse at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology, in Oporto, since 2010 and at the Health Line, a phone service in Portugal, doing medical triage. She holds an MSc in Medical Informatics from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto: her master’s dissertation was ‘Support telephone system to colorectal patients in treatment and follow up’. The project of dissertation continues with a program of Telenursing to follow up to cancer patients. She is a specialist nurse in community nursing from the Oporto Nursing School and holds a specialization in forensic medicine from the Abel Salazar Biomedical Institute, University of Porto. She is a member of the European Oncology Nurse Society, working in the communication working group. She is also a member of the Portuguese Oncology Nurse Society and a co-coordinator from the working group of Young Cancer Nurses in Portugal and works with EONS across Europe. She is part of the scientific council of the non-for-profit organization for cancer patients (CADO) Oncology Patient Supports Centre.
Research Interest
Her research interests are in communication in oncology, cancer symptom management, telemedicine and telenursing, social media and medical informatics apply to cancer treatment management.

Siva Sanker Reddy.L has completed his PG from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in the year 2005 and secured 2nd rank in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He has done his Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Anantapur. He is presently the head of R&D department at Santhiram College of Pharmacy, Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh, India. He has published more than 18 papers in reputed journals and guided 4 B.Pharm and 17 M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry-9 and Pharmaceutical Analysis-8) projects. Presented poster in the national symposium on natural products and biodiversity-our insurance for the future, held on 12th December 2014, and also at 5th PESCP international conference held at PES College of Pharmacy-Bangalore, India 17th & 18th October 2015. Won 1st prize in the category of Pharmaceutical Chemistry department for poster presentation in National Conference on recent trends in drug delivery systems held at Dr.K.V.Subba Reddy Institute of Pharmacy, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, India on 2nd & 3rd November 2015. He has 12 years of academic(teaching) experience and still continuing in the same field.
Research Interest
He is actively involved in the drug discovery process. His field of interest includes synthetic chemistry, analytical chemistry and biological screening methods. He has applied for Indian patents for lead molecules in the category of anti cancer, anti tubercular, anti fungal and antibacterial agents. He is presently working on these lead molecules for their Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic parameters evaluation.

Harmeet Kaur Kang completed her Master in Nursing from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and Ph.D. under National Consortium for PhD in Nursing. She is Professor cum Principal of Chitkara School of Health Sciences, a reputed institution in north India. She has published many research papers in national and international journals of repute. She is associate editor of Journal of Multidisciplinary Research in Healthcare and editorial board member of three nursing journals. She has delivered number of talks as resource person on contemporary issues concerning health research at various forums.

Her research interests include theory testing, cancer prevention and risk assessment, therapeutic communication, women health and symptom management.
Biography
Raman Kalia Graduated in Nursing in 1984, from College of Nursing PGI, and Worked for 10 years as Staff Nurse in the Pediatric Surgery Operation Theater. Worked in a research project funded by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi for one year. She did Post graduation in nursing in 1993, in the speciality of Medical Surgical Nursing, secured first position in Punjab University. The thesis entitled “Evaluation of performance of patients in carrying out the taught technique of clean intermittent urethral catheterization†was awarded the best thesis in the university. Seventeen years of teaching experience, at national Institute of Nursing Education PGI Chandigarh, Doctorate in Pediatric Surgery in 2003 at PGIMER thesis entitled “Development of educational aids for parents of children having colostomy and/or fecal incontinenceâ€.Awarded WHO fellowship of one month duration in Children day Care at Bangkok, Thailand, June 2007.Participated in various national and International nursing conferences, Publications- Published 30 papers in the nursing Journals.

Biography
After completion of his postdoctoral training at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Prof. Gautam Sethi joined Department of Pharmacology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2008 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2015.
Research Interest
The focus of his research over the past few years has been to elucidate the mechanism (s) of activation of oncogenic transcription factors such as NF-kB/STAT3 by carcinogens and inflammatory agents and the identification of novel inhibitors of these proteins for prevention of and therapy for cancer. The findings of his research work have so far resulted in more than one hundred and fifty scientific publications in high impact factor peer reviewed journals and several international awards. He currently serves as an Academic Editor for PLOS, editorial board member of Scientific Reports, Pharmacological Research, BMC Cancer, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Frontiers in Oncology, and ad-hoc reviewer for several other international journals.
