Track 1: Oncology Nursing

Oncology nurses work in a multidisciplinary group, from the hospital ward to the bone marrow transplant unit, to the community in a variety of settings. Oncology nurses also act as your first line of communication and help coordinate during cancer treatment the many facets of your care. They may be carrying out a number of duties. An oncology nurse provides care for patients with cancer and those at risk of developing the disease. Oncology nurses have to manage the symptoms of a patient's disease as well as the side effects of various treatments for cancer. They monitor, prescribe medication, and administer chemotherapy and other therapies. Oncology nurses are experiencing a great deal of pain, but the long-term relationships they also build with patients and their families compensate for this tension.

Track 2: General Issues in Cancer Nursing

One of the main challenges facing nurses is to deal with the many different oncology organizations. Besides the challenge of tracking and training patients in the outpatient setting who are receiving treatment. When informing or not becomes a dilemma-showing the main difficulties related to oncological treatment information regarding health personnel, health care system and infrastructure; investing or not-finitude-related dilemmas-showing pain-related dilemmas and finitude-related confrontation. The Women's Health Center's success lies in the hands of various groups of health care professionals working together for the patients ' common good. The partners in the Women's Health Center are drawn from the Service and Diagnostic Radiology Cancer Centre, Surgical and Specialties. The team of the Women's Health Center Nursing is a highly dedicated group of women who provide critical and compassionate data and nursing care to address the needs of women in the clinics. Officials at the Women's Health Center have close connections to professional bodies such as the Cancer Council, Multicultural Center, and Unit for Family Cancer.

Track 7: Hematology Cancer Nursing

Cancer and Hematology nursing aims to help nurses who care for people affected by cancer and hematological disease develop their skills and knowledge of their treatment. Track 8: Community Oncology Nursing

Track 9: Cancer Pain Management

Cancer does not always mean suffering. But if you're having pain, there are many different types of medicines, different ways of taking medicines, and non-drug methods that can help relieve it. It may be short-lived or long-lasting, mild or extreme, or one or more organs and bones may even be affected. A person with well-managed pain has an enhanced quality of life. You are likely to sleep better during the day and have more energy. Being as active as possible also reduces the risk of immobility-associated ailments such as pneumonia, blood clots and bedsores.

Track 10: Critical Care Nursing

A critical care nurse, also sometimes referred to as an ICU nurse, is a category of nurse that provides treatment for critically ill patients. Such types of nurses may take care of adults or children suffering from severe medical conditions including diseases and injuries. Many critical care nurses also work in wards or facilities that only care for patients with specific medical conditions, such as burning units of critical care. Critical patients are often considered psychotic, often unconscious, with vital signs that are erratic or extremely unhealthy. Many of these patients may also be near death. For this reason, the care given to critical patients should be top-notch and highly specialized.

Track 11: Cancer Therapeutics

Targeted cancer therapies are drugs or other substances that inhibit cancer growth and spread by interfering with particular molecules ("molecular targets") involved in cancer growth, development, and spread. A central focus of research on cancer metabolomics is the discovery of biomarkers. Metabolites are ideal biomarkers and diagnostics theoretically because they can easily be measured from non-invasiveurine or blood samples.

Track 12: Nurse Practitioners

Nurse practitioners are educated and trained through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic condition to provide health promotion and maintenance. NPs are qualified to diagnose medical problems, order treatments, perform advanced procedures, prescribe medicines, and make referrals within their scope of practice for a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. NPs work in hospitals, private offices, clinics, and long-term care facilities for nursing homes. Many nurse practitioners are contracting out their private duty services.

Track 13: Cancer Nursing Practices

The aim of Cancer Nursing Practice is to advise, assist and educate nurses who care for cancer patients. An oncology nurse's duties include prescribing and diagnosing medicines and treatments. Oncology nurses work closely with doctors, surgeons, families, and palliative caregivers to care for patients with cancer and to assist them through all treatment stages.

Track 14: Quality Oncology Practice Initiative

The objective of QOPI is to promote excellence in cancer care by helping to create a culture of self-examination and improvement. Measurement, input and development methods in haematology-oncology procedures are part of the process used to improve cancer care. Practice abstract data from records of patients up to twice a year through the QOPI program and enter this information into a secure database.
